Bad breath (halitosis), means that you have an unpleasant smell on your breath that other people notice when you speak or breathe out. The exact number of people with bad breath is not known, but it is common.
In most cases of persistent bad breath (halitosis), the smell comes from a build-up of germs (bacteria) within the mouth. These are in food debris, in plaque and gum disease, or in a coating on the back of the tongue. Good oral hygiene will often solve the problem. That is, regular teeth brushing, cleaning between the teeth, cleaning the tongue, and mouthwashes. Other causes of persistent bad breath are uncommon.
1 Brush your teeth after every meal.
2 Chew some cardamom seeds to sweeten your breath. The aromatic flavour in cardamom is a breath freshner.
3 Add 1 lemon juice with some sugar and salt to a glass of water and drink it often.
4 Tea made from Fenugreek seeds is also beneficial in bad breath and bad odour.
5 Brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth.
6 Rinse your mouth before sleeping with a glass of water with the juice of half a lemon added.
7 Drink Water throughout the day.
8 If you keep teeth, tongue, and mouth clean, you will not suffer from the problem of bad breath. You should take all care in cleaning your teeth by using proper tooth brush and adopting correct brushing technique. Follow the good oral hygiene rules.
