HOARSENESS OF VOICE

Definition 
When voice becomes hoarse, it is called Swarabheda in Ayurveda. 
Signs & Symptoms 
Hoarseness of voice, burning sensation of throat, low pitch of voice, less and slow talking are main symptoms of Swarabheda.

Remedies

SWARABHEDA REMEDIES

 

  1. Regular chewing of root of yashtimadhu relives symptoms well.
  2. Powder of Dry ginger - 2 - 4 gms is to be taken with one spoon of Honey.
  3. Honey- 15 - 20 gms dissolved in 100 ml of warmed water 3 - 4 times daily.
  4. Sitopaladi churna - 2 -3 gms With one spoon Honey twice daily.
  5. Khadiradi vati - 1 vati to be sucked 4 times every day.

 

Pathya (food to be taken) 
Seeds of Barley, Bitter gourd, Small cucumber, Fenugreek and Beatel leaf are good for persons suffering from throat disorders.

Apathya (food to be Avoided) 
Curd, Acidic, Cold and Heavy or Difficult to digest food are harmful for the patients.
