ALLERGY

According to Ayurvedic thought, seasonal allergies are connected to the earth. As the earth is more saturated during this time of the year due to the increased rain, the earth is holding on to more water than usual. This then is also occurring in our bodies, and is what we refer to as congestion.

TO REDUCE SYMPTOMS, TRY THE FOLLOWING

- Avoid Heavy foods, oily and Spicy,hot food stuffs. Also avoid dairy products, Meat, Nuts.
- Have a hearty meal for lunch, and then a very light meal for dinner, perhaps only light diet or soup.
- Stay away from dairy and wheat products, instead choosing fresh fruits and iseasonal fruits and vegetables .
- Get a full night's sleep.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Exercise every morning.

Yogic Management

Shodhan Karmas

Jal Neti, Sutra Neti, Vamana Dhouti, Agnisara kriya, Shankhaprakshalana (Once a week / month).

Asanas

Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Trikonasana, Sarvangasana, Vipritakarani, Bhujangasana, Makarasana, Shalabhasana, Paschimotanasana, Naukasana (Prone & Supine) Shavasana.

Pranayama

Anuloma - Viloma, Bhramari, Bhastrika, Ujjayi.

Relaxation

Om chanting.
